Peripheral Arterial Disease

What is PAD?

Peripheral artery disease (PAD) is a condition where the arteries that carry blood to your limbs, particularly the legs, become narrowed or blocked due to plaque buildup. This reduces blood flow to the muscles, causing symptoms like pain or cramping during walking or exercise. PAD can also lead to more serious complications if left untreated, including infections or even the need for amputation. Early diagnosis and treatment are important to improve circulation and prevent further health issues.
